Skating

Ice skating is a thrilling winter pastime whether you’re a complete novice or an absolute pro. While you’re in Lake Tahoe, visit one of the area rinks and glide effortlessly along the surface of the ice, or hold your partner’s hand to keep from falling down. If you would rather stay protected from the elements, visit the indoor ice rink in South Lake Tahoe. There’s a snack bar with munchies to recharge you and drinks to warm you up, an arcade, a well-stocked retail store, and numerous other amenities. Skating lessons are available, and the South Lake Tahoe rink also hosts fun skating events for the general public. This is an ideal place to put together a friendly hockey game with fellow Tahoe tourists or introduce the little ones to this pleasurable winter activity. Lake Tahoe is also home to two outdoor rinks where you can admire the sight of falling snow and breathe in the crisp winter air. Stop by the Heavenly Village outdoor rink or the Squaw Valley Olympic Ice Pavilion to enjoy skating the old-fashioned way.
