Sledding
Remember those seemingly endless days of sledding when you were a kid? Relive them with your sweetie or introduce your kids to this thrilling winter activity in Lake Tahoe. There are several Tahoe locations that are reserved just for sledding, including the Squaw Valley Tubing Hill and the Spooner Summit Sled Park. Climb aboard your old-fashioned toboggan or have a seat in your ultra-fast tube and race down the hill on the slick white snow. The object is to make it to the bottom, but don’t worry – the piles of snow all around you will cushion falls or spills. Just hop back on and continue your journey. Once you slow to a stop and realize you’re still in one piece, head back to the top to do it all again. Sledding is a fantastic activity for the entire family, and after an afternoon in the fresh Tahoe air, all you’ll want to do is curl up by the fire with a mug of hot cocoa.
